The Accredited Duchenne Centers Program aims to develop a unique worldwide accreditation for Duchenne and Becker Muscular Dystrophy care centers.

Aim

Accredited Duchenne Centers for pediatric and/or adult care are providing multidisciplinary care according to the latest Care considerations.

Guidance and support

The ADC Program provides training regarding optimal Duchenne care and advice for Duchenne centers who can not -yet- fulfil the criteria for accreditation.

Continuous training

For Accredited Centers, continuing education and training will be provided, including modules about latest research insights and gene therapy readiness.

Accredited Duchenne Centers Program

Accredited Duchenne Centers Program

A collaboration by

The Accredited Duchenne Centers Program is a program by the World Duchenne Organization. The program will be supported by Duchenne Data Foundation.

Step 1: Application

Centers interested to become an Accredited Duchenne Center (ADC) can apply via the ADC website, completing the documents.

Step 2: Evaluation

A digital questionnaire determines whether centers comply with the criteria, before a visitation can be planned.

Step 3: Visitation

A visitation is scheduled and performed. Semi-structured interviews are conducted with professionals and patients/parents.

Step 4: Accreditation

In case of a positive review, the center becomes an Accredited Duchenne Center and receives ongoing training and education.
